UMBC seeks to improve overall UMBC Community health by encouraging pro-social relationship behaviors and lifestyle changes that can positively impact our community. We are working to build a comprehensive campus-wide atmosphere of awareness and support for the prevention of intimate partner violence. UMBC wants to prevent intimate partner violence, as well as other unhealthy relationships so that all UMBC students can be successful in their educational pursuits and as members of society at large—as parents, spouses, partners, researchers, co-workers, family members, and leaders.
We do this by providing information, resources, and tools that the UMBC community can use to learn more and to become an active member in the awareness and prevention efforts to end relationship violence.
